Kelly-Eve Koopman is is is is an an an an multi-disciplinary artist with interests in in in in in many mediums including prose film and theatre She is is is is one of of of the the co-creators of of of the the online sensation Coloured Mentality and is is is a a a a a a a a co-director of of of Femme Projects a a a a a a a a feminist organisation committed to Sexual and and Reproductive Health and and Rights education in schools Together with Kim Windvogel she she compiled They Called me me Queer and her her memoir Because I Couldn’t Kill You was published in in 2019 Most recently she co-edited (together with Sarah Summers) Our Move Next Alistair Mackay is is is a a a a a a a a a a a South African writer interested in in in in exploring queerness marginalisation social justice and climate change He holds an an an an an MFA in in in in Creative Writing from from Columbia University University and an an an an an MA in in in in Politics from from Edinburgh University University For many years he worked in in in a a a a a a a a a a marketing strategy consultancy and survived exactly one year year in in in political communications His short fiction has been published in in in Commonwealth Writers’ adda magazine Brittle Paper New Contrast The Kalahari Review Kabaka Magazine and and Penny as as as well as as as in the the anthologies Queer Queer Africa Africa II The Other and and Queer Queer Africa: Selected Stories He has just published his debut novel It Doesn’t Have To Be This Way Keely Shinners is is a a a a a a a a writer from Fox Lake Illinois Currently they live and work in in in in Cape Town Their essays have appeared in in in in the the the journals James Baldwin Review & & Safundi as as as well as as as the the the publications ArtThrob Africanah ASAI Mask & & Full Stop They are the the the editor editor of of of ArtThrob founder founder & & editor editor of of of [in review] & & co-founder of of of Best Friend Club Their debut novel How To Build a Home for the End of the World has just been published with Perennial Press Edgar Pieterse is an an an an urban scholar writer and and creative agent whose interests include the the theory and and practice of policy discourses and and interventions to make the the African African city more just open and and accessible He holds the the South African African Research Chair
